This January, fulfill your Science Plus Lab general education requirement (GEP) requirement with BIOL 109: Life – Introduction to Modern Biology and discover the basic biological concepts and components of nature. This is a lab-driven course in which students take a more hands-on approach to learn about the nature of DNA, heredity, human genetics, and the process of mutation. This course also covers modern issues such as forensic analysis of DNA and blood, and the biology behind cancer and genetic diseases, while discussing current events within the field.

BIOL 109 is offered during the 2016 Winter Session, and includes a 75-minute lecture and 120-minute lab.
