Session 1: Welcome Week, in review!
Thank you to everyone that came out to our table in the UC plaza last week, Welcome Week for Summer Session 1 went great!!!
Many students and staff members came by with questions and participated in the t-shirt raffle and completed the statement on the display board. Some of the responses to the statement “During 2015 Summer Session at UMBC, I am…” were:
– “…learning lots and loving it!”
– “…REU-ing”
-“…a transfer student from Auburn University”
-“… doing research”
– “…getting a 4.0”
These responses are a reminder of the diversity, ambition, and devotion that the students and faculty here at UMBC have. I hope this summer we all strive to excel in many aspects and remember that we are all here to support YOU. Be sure to take advantage of all that UMBC has to offer through classes, academic support, workshops, and other events here on campus this summer.
If you were not able to come out to our welcome week table this first session, we hope to see you at welcome week for Summer Session 2 on July 6th – 9th. There will be more goodies and giveaways! In the mean time be on the lookout for our various summer workshops and events!
